A Guide to Goals, Desired Conditions, Objectives, Standards, and Guidelines

Desired Conditions, Objectives, Standards and Guidelines are the road map or building blocks of a forest plan. The following definitions (in italics font) of these building blocks are found in the 2012 forest planning rule. The draft Conservation Alternative and initial MLNF proposal can be directly compared for these elements. The Draft EIS in mid-2021 will compare these elements for their environmental consequences.
